Kenny & Associates Physical Therapy
Kenny & Associates Physical Therapy is a Physical Therapist owned, private PT practice. “Kenny” recently purchased the practice and are in the process of modernizing their whole brand, clinic and website.
Lindsey Kenny and husband Rich, purchased the thriving PT practice Lindsey had been working at for the last 10+ years, from founding PT, Nancy Reynolds, in early 2024. Thus they are using an interim name, Kenny, Reynolds & Associates to provide a transition period for name recognition. We started working on their Brand Identity and Logo, as a first step and are about 75% done with their website. Below are the project details.
Lindsey and Rich had some preliminary ideas on color palettes, their logo design, and typography. Leveraging an iterative design approach using mockups, we got their brand related items ~95%. As we started the website design, layout and build, we made some final tweaks.
Multiple mockups were created using colors that the Kenny’s had shared. The colors were used in the context of a generic home page to explore options.

The lighter option in previous iteration spurred inspiration to consider using white as a primary color. The generic home page was changed to see colors in a different context.
The main requirement from a typography perspective, was something modern, professional, and readable. I implemented one of my favorite fonts, Nunito Sans, for both headers and paragraph text on the site and they felt it worked perfectly.
The Kenny’s provided a graphic of a letter K that they wanted to use as the main part of their logo, however it was going to require custom licensing. We decided to explore some alternatives based on other logo likes/dislikes they shared with me before they pursued the licensing. Ultimately, they preferred their original, so then we moved forward iterating on designs leveraging their ‘K’ to end up with their final logo.
Once it was definitive to go with the graphic K, The Kenny’s were primarily focused on which font pairing with the K would work best to spell out their business name. I selected fonts that either contrasted or complemented their K logo and worked well with the site’s typography. Capriola was their final selection.
As other decisions were made about the website (i.e. navigation placement, header details, etc.) I recommended that the logo might be enhanced by using some additional visual elements and provided these options. Lindsey and Rich agreed and selected the 4th one down which ended up as the final logo design.
