1. Free Initial Consultation (30-45mins)
We will meet, usually via video call (i.e. Google Meet), to learn about your business, the needs you have for your website (i.e. new, redesign, functionality, pages, etc.) and answer any questions you may have. At this point, it will be helpful if you can share any other sites, logos, graphics, etc. that serve as inspiration for your website. We will follow up with a summary of the scope of work, pricing and timeline estimate as well as our contract for engagement.
2. Make Our Partnership Official!
Contract of engagement is signed off and our official Kick Off meeting takes place. For our kick-off meeting, we will need to collect any assets (i.e. logos, official color codes, typography) that you already have in mind as well as sites and graphics you like or really dislike.
3. Start the Creative Process
Based on our previous meetings, we will begin the design process by reviewing all the info you’ve given us and begin creating mood boards, mockups, etc. – whatever makes sense for your particular needs! We will need you to provide draft content (written) during this time also.
4. Review-Feedback Iterations (3-5)
Now the fun begins! We start sharing our ideas and iterating on designs. During this time, we can use Google Docs for sharing, commenting, etc. We should also meet regularly on video during this part of the process. Your availability and timeliness of feedback will significantly drive our timeline.
5. Finalize Designs
We will meet, conduct a final review of the designs including content and sign off, noting anything that is still TBD. We ask that you also understand as we get into the build process, we may run into technical limitations and have to tweak the design a bit, but rarely are those tweaks dramatically different from what we finalized.
6. Build Your Website!
Now we will get to work building your site! We typically will start the build on one of our servers and then move it to your domain and hosting once we are final, we can provide read access to our server during this time. However, we will also meet regularly and provide demos to show you the status of our progress.
7. Review and Minor Tweaks
As we go through the build process and have our demo calls, there will inevitably be things we want to tweak – often content related, but sometimes design related as well. We factor in some changes at this point in time, however significant changes (i.e. additional pages, change to menu or home page layout, etc.) will trigger a change order.
8. Go Live – Launch Your New Site!
We have reached the finish line! After a final review we will move your new site to your server and launch it to go live!
